WHY I CREATED THE GREAT SEPARATION

WHY I CREATED THE GREAT SEPARATION

I’m Ellie

Founder of The Great Separation.

I created The Great Separation because I believe women deserve better support during Divorce & Separation.

That belief comes from my own experience.

Like many women, I never expected my marriage to end. When it did, I found myself navigating the most overwhelming period of my life. A few years later, as the mother of my young daughter, I also found myself navigating the family court system. Both experiences taught me the same thing.

I had access to professional advice, but what I was missing was someone who could help me pause, think beyond the next step and provide clarity. Someone who could connect the emotional, practical, financial and legal aspects of Divorce & Separation, helping me understand how every decision I made would shape my future.

Before founding The Great Separation, I spent over 15 years leading business change and complex projects. I’ve always been someone who intuitively joins the dots, spots what’s missing and sees the bigger picture. I enjoy turning complexity into clarity and helping people move from uncertainty to a clear plan.

I help women understand where they are, what their options are and what comes next. By bringing all the moving pieces of Divorce & Separation together, I help them make informed decisions, avoid costly mistakes and create a plan that’s right for them and their future.

Alongside my own lived experience, I bring an Executive MBA, a Diploma in Counselling Skills & Theory, my work as an Accredited Workplace Mediator, ongoing training as a Family Mediator, and six years as a trustee for my local Women’s Aid charity.

I believe every woman deserves someone in her corner.

Someone who brings everything together, helps her think clearly, asks the questions she hasn’t thought to ask and gives her the structure, insight and support to make decisions she’ll feel confident about for years to come.
